And what indication really was there that tszyu was past prime? And Hattons win over Tszyu is perfectly legitimate, and Hatton hit Tszyu low after Tszyu started going below the belt. Great retaliatory move.
Ricky got dropped by a body shot that was ruled a low blow he constanly mugged and hit Tszyu on the back of the head and he hit Tszyu low on purpose the home town ref let Hatton get away with murder sort of like what goes on for Butte in Canada.
Dude - Tszyu had fought once in 3 years with achillies and shoulder surguries. He fought at 2am Brit time. The refereeing was almost criminal. The body shot knockdown, not taking a point for the worst left hook to the balls I have ever seen in a prize fight this side of Duran Buchannon and with all that Kostya was STILL more classy than 99% of fighters with his post fight speech to the arena. To suggest Hatton didn't posess a stacked deck though is just naive.
Dream all you like, it wouldn't be much different than when they did meet. A younger Tszyu may win an ugly close decision but he'd obviously always badly struggle with Hatton's style.
Before the fight: "Hatton will get stopped early" "THis is too big of a step up" "Hatton was hurt by McGee! How will he take Tszyu's right?!" "Tszyu is top 3 p4p, look at what he did in the Mitchell rematch!" Afterwards: "Hatton had all the advantages!" Hatton fought a hell of a fight, his win was perfectly legitimate. And btw, Tszyu PICKED Hatton.
:huhNo, your right, prime Tsyzu was only one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world and one of the best lightwelterweights ever. Thats all. Not a top fighter. Dick
i think with the excellent timing and power that Zu had in his prime....after watching Hatton being broke down and timed by Pac and Floyd....Zu puts him to sleep.
