Not taking sides here, but I'd like to interject something for a moment.

This fight needs to be looked at from a styles angle. All three of Wlad's KO's were caused by left hooks. Lewis is pretty effective with all of his punches but I'm not sure that the left hook is a specialty of his. Lennox was taken out by a pretty vicious right hand from Oliver McCall who's right is probably not as polished or potent as Klitscko's. As for their ability to take punishment, we could make a pretty good case for both guys having questionable chins.

That said, I still pick Lewis, but this is not an impossible fight for Klitschko to win.

He'd (Lennox) have to fight a smarter fight than the kind that would make an "OMG LEWS KILLZ hIm NI 2!!!1!!!" prediction possible. Just like how Wlad's had worse performances against fighters worse than Lewis, Lewis has had worse performances against fighters worse than Wlad.

This would actually be an interesting fight because Wlad has alot of qualities that are all wrong for Lewis- that combination of reach, skill, speed, and power, topped off with an ATG level jab, combined with Lewis being open to getting hit when he opens up. If Lewis tries too hard to crack that chin, he wouldn't like that kind of leather hitting him if he fails.

I think it's too early to definitely say Wlad would win, particularly because I rate Lewis very highly- but could he? Without question. It seems like more people are trashing Wlad on the backlash of a boring fight than actually looking at how a fight between the two would play out.

Let's give Wlad a couple of years to show us what he has to offer, since he is just 31 and is a work in progress. Then there'd be a clearer picture of what would happen in a fight between the two.

As of now, I'd go with a Lennox UD. I think the fight would be much more tactical, with neither guy wanting to open up too much, but Lennox has more experience beating top level guys in that kind of fight- so he gets the nod. Wlad would be a very live dog, and it wouldn't surprise me whatsoever if he won.

Exactly, Mental strength beats Physical strength 90% of the time. It's no secret that Wlad has trouble against heavy hitting fighters, Brewster, Peter, Sanders, the fact is, Lewis has just as much power as the 3 I named, plus he's 10 times the boxer than all those 3. The only way I see Wlad winning is by catching Lewis' with a well timed punch early on, if Lewis connects on Wlads chin, a panic attack will insue, and Lewis will finish the weak chinned Wlad off with ease.

This Widdow is a muppet. He comes on acting like his version of reality is enlightened and the rest of us are Wlad haters. It's a lame get out. He seems to have the agenda, the rest of us just see what is right infront of our eyes

That is a fighter with a very poor resume for a guy with 50 odd fights. Not his fault, but if you want to go down as a great with that sort of resume you better be undisputed champion, and you better do it in good style. He has done neither.

the disrespect and hate wlad gets is pathetic especially from the American press. he would wipe the floor with quite a few old timers. like it or not, he is an elite boxer.

as for this matchup, id take lennox on pts or late stoppage. i think they are a wash except when it comes to killer instinct. Lennox could intimidate wlad but lennox would respect wlad enough to fight a disciplined fight. people picking early ko are idiots and can't analyze for ****. wlad's defense is top notch and lennox is not stupid to rush in. wlad's not a stiff like golota or grant, he will move not giving lewis a stationary target. it will be a chess match won by Lennox. :deal

Depending on what Wlad does it would either look like Lewis Vs Grant or Lewis Vs Akinwande. I think there's a good change Wlad gets disqualified for holding like Akinwande.

at this point, Wlad is not ready to face a prime Lewis yet, but maybe my opinion will change down the line.

If they are on a train Lewis travels first class Wlad is in economy.

All the big guys Lennox faced, that showed an ounce of vunrability were stopped comfortably.

And if you avatar proves anything, it proved Wlad defence is not ''top notch'', he has been hit ,hurt, dropped and stopped enough times for me to come to the conclusion, that this 'top notch defence' is more fear than skill.

At 32 years of age, and with a 12 year career behind him, I don't think Wlad is getting any better.

Pick 'em - both can be punch, both can be laid down. KO for one of 'em.

If Peter can land punches on Wlad, dont you think a great boxer like Lewis can? Wlad is not a good defensive fighter, all Iggy kept doing was throwing the looping right hand the whole fight, which anybody with decent skills can see coming a mile away. Wlad looks good, because his oppenents are so bad. My question to you is, what happens when Lewis lands that big straight right or that decapitating uppercut on the inside?

wlad hasnt been hit by a meaningful punch in 2.5 years. that's not a coincidence, that's skill. watch his fights. look at the foot movement and the way he controls the space between himself and his opponent. he uses his left hand to fend his opponents off. the past is the past and he's a more complete fighter now.
