Lewis was fighting the likes of Gary Mason who'd just KO'd Tyrell Biggs and was 35-0 in something like his 15th fight, and the competition level never dropped until the day he retired. WALD feasted on bums for 25 fights, and still managed to lose to one of them

It wasn't a fair post in any way shape or form, the guy included all manner of **** opposition that WALDO faced and tried to make them sound great, and rubbished Lewis's comp too.

It was an incredibly biased, ill-informed and ignorant post, which is what you come to expect from Window whenever a WALD V 'anyone' thread is made. WALDS comp level is ****, anyone who's watched boxing for more than 5 years can see that - except the huggers. Window is one of the huggers.

 

Novadays his chin is hard to reach and i dont think it's that bad as people thing..about mental strenght there is nothing wrong about that. He take Peter who's reputation was scary...:scaredas:

Lennox would knock him ot within 5 or 6 rounds, unless by some miracle wlad could land a huge punch. However lewis could take alot more punishment than wlad, so he would just get stuck in and finish him quickly.

 

I think anyone that watches Wlad knows there's something wrong with his chin or just the fact he's afraid to get hit, I think he needs to fight a couple light punching fighters to build his confidence back up.

 

It was also unfair in that it describes WALD as a unified champion when in reality he only hold the IBF and the WBO belts, Lewis never bothered to fight for the tinpot trinket that is the WBO belt, it holds no clout whatsoever to anyone that knows anything. Lewis also dumped the IBF belt rather than face a piece of **** fighter like Byrd who is STILL the best fighter on WALDS resume.

You're right on one thing though, Lewis began his pro career far later than WALD did....so why is his competition level so much better? Lewis took risks all his career, and the only times that he didn't face the obvious challenge were down to the fact that the opponent ducked him (Holyfield ducked him for years and so did Tyson, not to mention Bowe - and Foreman also declared publicly that he wouldn't want to fight Lewis) yet the WALD fans use this as an excuse to attack the man :nut

Riddick Bowe publicly dumped the WBC belt in a trash can rather than fight Lewis, yet somehow that's Lewis's fault?

WALD stuck with has beens and never-was's most of his career to date and he still managed to lose to 3 of them If Lewis had fought the fighters that WALD has fought to date he'd be undefeated and have a better KO record than WALD, and you can take that to the bank :deal

The funniest part of Windows post though is that he suggested that Mercer had been on a good run up until he faced WALD - he obviously didn't study Mercers comp too hard :rofl :rofl :rofl

 

Good point. Wlad was 24 in -2000 and he fight then Byrd, Barret , wolfgram and 1year before Axel Schultz..

Lewis would have had WALD out of there in the first round. Golota all over again......big timid fighter with limited skills.....Lennox would walk right through that bum.

Before their fights, nobody gave Puritty any chance at all. Nobody gave Sanders a chance either at the time due to his inactivity, history and age although maybe he should have had the "small chance" that Peter has in your opinion. Nobody gave Brewster any chance at all either.

Both Chagaev and Peter are better than any of the fighters Wlad has been stopped by so don't act like it can't happen.

It can happen, surely..what more you fight, chances are going higher all the time. Peter will lose easily UD to Ibragimov. Chagaev i'm not so sure.
