    It certainly is....

If you liked a show in boring standard definition you don't don't need HD... If you thought a programme was **** in SD, HD won't make it any better...

    I know plenty:deal
There is a noticeable difference in picture quality versus standard definition.

I'd rather watch a good movie in HD over the same movie in SD anyday!

I personally couldn't care less about HD.

However if you think it's a gimmick you are hugely mistaken. As mentioned HD is the natural technology progression and is becoming the standard. To many people, if they are paying £14.95 for an event they expect to get HD format for that price.

Well they won't for £14.95 will they?

They need to pay a monthly HD subscription on top.

So to say people expect HD when paying £14.95 is nonsense.

Why don't you learn to read and respond to some of the posts directed at you, or is your tongue still wrapped around Nelsons shaft?

Perhaps directing your enquiries by mail to Mr Smith may prove more fruitful than asking someone who isn't Adam Smith.

How is HD a gimmick? :huh It's clearly a better picture quality.

I doubt I'd want to waste precious sleep time to stay up to watch Khan/Judah anyway but if I did and paid £15 for it (plus primetime 'registration' fees), I'd expect to be watching it in good quality. Otherwise I'd just watch on the net.
