Klitschko dominated an era, while Carnera was just a place holder champion.

That doesn't mean that we cannot look at Klitschko critically when comparing him to Carnera.

Yeah well Primo sent him to the rafters with one of the most brutal uppercuts I have ever seen in boxing.
I don't know how much a man can decline in that span of time, but he seems to blame Carneras improvements for his loss.

We don't really know much about the fixed fight accusations.

Here is what we do know:
He won the title.
Defended it twice.
Received positive peer appraisals from the likes of Max Schmeling, Joe Louis, Max Baer, Jim Jeffries, Benny Leonard, Jack Sharkey, Ray Arcel, and more.

To hang onto fixed fight accusations as a means to judge him as a fighter in lue of the aforementioned points, means you must be a drama hungry ignoramus. You'd have to love eating up the stories of oafish giants with metal teeth and mob ties, judging them negatively in your mind, in order to be blinded by such obvious underlying facts about his abilities as a boxer, and take it to a level that reality doesn't merit.
