Haye would probably knocked Carnera down a few times but I think Carnera would outlast him. Late stoppage for Carnera.
Given Carnera was knocked out and dominated by Louis and Baer, I don't fancy his chances against Haye. Who's the third best puncher he faced? I do think he's generally been a tad underrated but this style isn't for him In terms of wins Carnera's resume is pretty average isn't it? There's also the question marks of which fights were on the level and which ones weren't
Valuev was much bigger than Carnera and likely better. Wlad had crippling power whicl Primo had little. I see Haye, who I am no fan of, winning easily.
Woah !!! Valuev can´t land punches, unless is against jorneymen, guy is the the slowest and more inaccurate puncher I ever senn in my life, Carnera was a beast with that uppercut and had an efficient jab which he used against good ranked fighters..... Valuev can´t compare, he is nothing compared with a true lineal Champion. And btw, they had the same reach if I remember correctly.....only thing giving Valuev an advantage is that he has a big head...... SNV was a bigger target....also, Carnera had a better stance for defense, you can see that on film, that made him a target even smaller....
Yeah, I mean, I never compared Primo with the great HWs.....but I think he has some good wins in his record when we compare him with someone like Haye.... Haye now has Chisora though, an important win for his HW resume. Even so tbh, I wouldn´t say Chisora is a better win than Campolo, for instance.
I have to say, Valuev looked good (for his standards) vs Liakhovich, really.... But then again, Carnera beat many fighters better than Liak.
I think Carnera's chin gets a bum wrap much like Frazier's chin does; look who knocked the **** out of them... Yeah, they got dropped and stopped, but look who was hitting them. That didn't happen normally, but against some of the best and hardest punchers ever, I don't blame them for falling down repeatedly... In Frazier, he was dropped by Bonavena, who wasn't necessarily a knockout puncher, but a heavy, hard puncher to be sure. Foreman goes without saying. Carnera was beaten from pillar to post against Baer, who is arguably on par with Foreman in terms of power. The other was Louis, who again, goes without saying. I'm not making a case for Carnera being great, but I am making a case for him being underrated.
