    Come on now.

Wilder is a KO waiting to happen.

There is a reason why he has been matched so timidly.

Bet against it if you are brave.

You base this on him being matched soft, yes?
Was that the case with Carnera?
I ask because Wilder stopped fighting men with losing records after his 13th fight ,whereas Carnera was still fighting them in his 69 and 70th fights! In his 97th fight his opponents record was 0-1-0 and,for his 98th and 99th fights his opponents had never boxed before!
I find it hystericaly funny that you criticize Wilder for adopting Carnera's career path yet all the time solemnly assuring us that Primo was "consistently knocking over world class opposition!" A cursory glace at his resume tells us he wasn't!

It is not so much that Wilder was matched soft early in his career that gets my attention. It is the fact that they would not match him with anybody with a pulse, even when he was looking at fighting for a title. That was a very high risk strategy, and it suggests that they were terrified of their cash cow being derailed. Carnera did take a lot of soft touches early in his career, I will grant you that, but he had been in with some quality men before he fought Sharkey.

Yeah I would bet against him standing up to Joshua best punches maybe even against old man Ortiz’s but I wouldn’t bet on Carnera beating him.

Wilder beats the puddin' out of Carnera for a wide UD.

Then I expect big things of him when he steps up in opposition.

Who has Wilder beat yet who will mean more than a cheese sandwich in 4 years time?

Carnera had already beat Schaff, Godfrey, uzcundun, campolo and king Levinsky before challenging for a title.

With what we know about Wilder so far Wilder vs Campolo is a 50-50 fight. Forget about Carnera.

Based on film I've seen Carnera looks wholly superior to Wilder in terms of both form and hand speed. (Don't choke on your Cheetos.)
The *only* advantage I see for Wilder is that he probably hits harder despite being 30-40 pounds lighter.

Do you think that Baer would need 11 rounds to put Wilder away?

If he would, then I have badly underestimated his chin!

    OK.

Wilder has beaten next to nobody yet, and he is about to get tested at the highest level.

Lets see if he is a worthy for for Baer!

Bermane Stiverne is not a bum and Luis Ortiz hasn't had anyone beating down his door let's see how this fight plays out I would say he is quality
