hows this fight go? whos winning how and why?i think that a prime primo can beat neon leon but its a tough fight.
Actually this is one I can Carnera winning, Leon was good but he is really only famous fOr the Ali fight, which he only won because Ali came unprepared. Carnera wasn't great or anything but I deff think he is better than Spinks.
Carnera is bigger, he won't be outboxed by Leon and he won't be outlasted either. Leon Spinks never had a big punch but he could tire you out and take you out late in a fight, but Carnera to his credit had the stamina to go 15 rounds. I see a decision win for Carnera unless Leon walks into a punch and gets knocked out.
Carnera could beat the old, rope-a-doping Ali that Leon outhustled. I don't think Leon could replicate Carnera's biggest wins. Carnera was pretty durable at his best so I don't see Leon KO'ing him. If Leon walks into the same punch that Sharkey did it's lights out. The Leon-sized (but far superior) Loughran was out-pointed by Carnera so I have to think Carnera outboxes Leon too. Carnera UD 15.
I like Carnera to outbox Spinks. Carnera was not all hype, as the film of the ko of Campolo shows. One of the weaker champions, but Spinks might be the weakest of all.
This is a ref's fight ... the Spinks of Ali 1 or the Mercado fight could have done a number on Primo ... too much speed and stamina and Primo had no power to really hurt him ... however if Primo was allowed to jab, clinch and wrestle he might squeeze out a decision ....
