If we have a ref that let's primo lay on and grab the way wlad is allowed this could well go the distance and some may have it closer than we would consider viable . Me personally I still see rocky doing enough to take a unanimous decision and clearly if such a scenario played out . Although I'm basing my prediction on the assumption we a competent referee so I see primo taking a beating and being stopped around maybe the 9th

No he wouldn't ,he wasn't a puncher it's that simple.
He was fed the biggest collection of setups any heavyweight ever boosted his resume with .Guys that came with water wings attached, ready to take their dives in the ordained round. Carnera equates with Willard and Wlad and both of them were serious punchers

:lol: at glass jawed Carnera lasting 15 with Marciano under any circumstances, carnera couldn't take a punch to save his life, had no defense, and got knocked out by every great puncher he fought

Yes Marciano was a skilled swarmer, he feinted VERY well, slipped, ducked rolled in his crouch, bobbed and weaved, slipped jabs from great jabbers, he mixed up his punches well, very unorthodox

Marciano did subtle things in the ring that made him great. And it wasn't just strength power durability and stamina.

Name me a fighter Carnera beat with even close to the level of power durability stamina strength of a prime Rocky Marciano?

When did Carnera beat a puncher of marcianos caliber ?

I'm not comparing Carnera to Marciano.
Marciano was not skilled at slipping great jabs, he said himself he had to take Louis's, and Louis by then was much diminished in both speed and velocity. Look at Marciano 's face after Moore,Walcott Charles, Louis, Simmons etc, you are being ridiculous here. Triple M

Bull Young RIP, courtesy of one right uppercut.
Willard knocked Johnson's gold teeth out.

If he had a wlad ref he could have a chance of lasting the distance ok I admit to it being not a big chance at all I was gilding the Lilly a bit . Marciano though wouldn't stop primo as quickly as Dempsey would not that makes Dempsey a better fighter than Marciano . Just a different monster to Marciano

Willard was an arm puncher, not impressive. He didn't throw with proper technique or leverage. Had no idea how to combination punch, terrible timing and anticipation.

Willard could have really used some mitt work training double end bag training.

Bull Young was a tomato can, who knows what the surrounding circumstances were with him prior to taking the Willard fight

You seem to be the only person on this forum, who is able to convince themself that a fighter got to the top of the division, with nothing going for them.
