I'm comparing the 26 and 27 years old Williams who fought Liston with the 29years old Carnera who fought Haynes. Williams operated on the world stage when he beat Terrell and drew with Machen and when he was a ranked heavyweight.

He does not have to put them together like that to do it. Williams like Primo of the Haynes fight had kidney problems. Williams already had a kidney removed and Primo of the Haynes fights, had a bleeding kidney that was slowly poisoning his body, and would get that removed the following year.

You are comparing the 27 year old Williams with the version of primo who fought Haynes with undiagnosed kidney failure?

Why not the best version of Carnera who knocked out Jack Sharkey?

Please remind Us all of the opponent Williams beat who was as well regarded as Jack Sharkey when Primo beat him.

Williams was no more on the world stage when he beat Terrell than the other two guys that had beat young Ernie Terrell in each of the previous years he had been developing his apprenticeship in the sport.

Terrell was not as good as Carnera until he beat Williams. And that's being generous.

I don't accept that he ko'd Sharkey I believe he went into the tank.If you want that version I still say prime Williams rips him a new rectum.

I'd have felt confident backing the majority of them against Carnera Head-to-Head - and, even those I am less sure of would have been worth a punt.

This is just an erotic fantasy. It's not based on anything on Williams record.

Williams was either knocked out or drew against each and every world class guy he fought. We have been through this a thousand times. Having "a moment" on the way to hard knockout defeats is not a win. Tami Mauriello had a moment with Joe Louis. Nobody is boosting Tami here.

Williams only recorded win over a rated fighter is on points against billy the barber daniels who's rectum was entirely intact at the end of 20 rounds they had together.

I don't have erotic fantasies, certainly not about boxers. About time to bad mouth George Foreman again isn't ?

I see where you are coming from with best ever performance vs best ever performance but the problem with all these guys is their whole careers are based on one such night. They had no longevity or consistency to match a guy like Carnera who (as little as you might think of him) recorded a number of high profile wins rather than say the Tucker or Tubbs like fare. You can't keep using the one performance over and over with these guys. The one performance was usually the one that got them the status then they blew everything else or were unsuccessful at sustaining that kind of form.
