Worst Heavyweight Champion in recent history. He won the IBF on account of Glazkov blowing out his knee in a fight Martin probably would have lost. Obviously we dont know that but many would say so. Then took what looked like to alot of folks, a dive vs AJ for the $$. Yes he is a "former" title holder but he wont hold another piece of the title again
Martin is packing glass no question. It is only a matter of time before his fragile mandible gets shattered again. Once hes steps up from the Washington-level, he's taking (another) canvas nap.
He'll get another shot. I believe Martin is better than he showed in either the Joshua or Kownacki fights. The division is actually a bit crowded at this point, so I don't know that he will ever get a belt back. But he'll get another shot and good luck to him.
Bold talk from a pencil neck geek. The man has been knocked down twice in his entire career, by one of the hardest punchers in boxing. Yet your gutless azz says he has a glass jaw. What a punk you are!
Well gee Dave, Rico has over 43,00 posts. Surely he is some kind of bad azzz. I'll give Rico credit though, he not near a wuss as Zakman.
His knock out of Washington was impressive I hope to see him back in contention among the top 10 of the division but he was never a real champ and will never hold a belt again
Let's face it Glazkov was a proven commodity at heavyweight with big wins under his belt when he fought Martin. Hell he beat a who's who of decent top 30 guys at the time like Tor Hamer, Konstantin Airich, Denis Bakhtov. Then be drew with Malik Scott and beat Adamek and Cunningham. Martin up to that point had beaten Dawejko and Alexander Flores which is just nothing, those are equivalent to Glazkov's lesser wins. He was going to be outboxed until that injury occurred and it ended a potentially decent career for Glazkov too who probably held significantly more promise.
FFS he is low on the list of quality HW titlists (near the bottom in fact) but he isn't "glass jawed". Stop bending over backwards to discredit Joshua's power. Transparent and tired - and uninspired approach in pushing that agenda.
you say he was a proven commodity but he had so many ropey gift decisions people had already written him off.
Hit the road denier, chin talk isn't for fanboys like you. Oh and by the way, yes, your hero does have a glass jaw, and oh yeah, it's going to get shattered again. Count on it.
Yeah, if he was never heard from again post-Joshua then all the mockery and calling him the worst titlist ever would perhaps be reasonable, but...he's done quite well for himself since.
Say fury and AJ have retired by 2022/23 and he has picked up another good win or two avoiding defeat then he could pick up a strap he was vastly overpaid against Joshua and I think he was happy to get home to check his bank account
