Possibly not, Williams could be a bit soft around the choppers all the way up to Czyz fight, when Jones (I think) would of been 18/19.
What a shame that there was never a serious effort to unify the title back then. You had three long-reigning titleholders (Williams, Hill, Moorer), and none of them happened to cross paths with one another.
Excellent post TBooze, I enjoyed it thoroughly, people, my included, tend to remember him for that stoppage alone. However, I have to say to you that this pun nearly ruined the whole experience for me:
The Sosa/Williams fight is one of the most brutal I've ever seen, both are absolute ****ing madmen in refusing to back down. The double stoppage was warranted, they were literally killing one another.
