Really? Throwing multiple low blows when the fight is not going his way is what you call 'breath of fresh air'? Please.. and the dude gets hit way too much.

Silly comparison, Pac and May are at the top of the food chain Mares is stuck fighting his ass off trying to put money in the bank, the same way Pac and May were many years ago. I like Mares, I see him as a HOF but an ATG . . . I do not see it yet. Most def a young stud though:bbb

I started following his career just after his eye recovered and was sure that he was destined for great thinks. Use to watch him at the cards in the Nokia center. Great fighter, like Ward he'll do whatever it takes to win and will show a bit of different look in every fight and in the same fight if he has to.

Hmm..I am also concerned that he gets hit too much. He got hit with some big shots against Ponce.
He deffo won the Darchinyan fight.

If he can take out one or two more huge names, then there's no doubt he has to be a hall of famer at least.

Mares can box and he can fight. He has proven his mettle with one of the stiffest schedules in the last couple of years. It's going to take a great fighter to beat him.

I would not mind seeing Mares take on Jhonny Gonzalez if a bigger fight can't be made.

Mares is the truth. He's a hard muther****er.

He's not afradi to fight anyone, no one in his weight range besides the cubans can beat him (Rigo below and Gamboa above)

A part of me would like to see Mares - Salido and another part doesn't want either Salido with another loss or Mares sent backwards.

Upon second watch... De Leon deserves a rematch.

How is this for a Sept 14th card?

    Mayweather Vs. Khan
    Cotto Vs. Alvarez
    De Leon Vs. Mares
    ?

Beats Mayweather/De La Hoya in sales?
