whats funny is that they were trying to make this fight back around 1998 when Mayweather was top 10 p4p and champion at 130 and Hamed was top 10 p4p and champ at 126.

Hamed said something to the effect of "havent I gone up in weight enough?" They also wanted Hamed to fight Nelson at 130 as well, but Hamed fought unification fights instead.

I think Mayweather wouldve stopped Hamed late.

at the time of the Barrera fight, Barrera wasn;t the most accomplished fighter Hamed faced. Bungu, for example, had a better reign at 122 than Barrera when he faced Hamed.

Barreras win over Hamed catapulted him into greatness, combined with his win over Morales in the second fight at 126.

all the advantages seems to favor floyd.
    1. size - floyd started at 130 while hamed fought highest at 126
    2. skills - floyd
    3. level of opponent - floyd at 130 has the best resume in his career. hamed was untested at 130 but have very good list of opponents at 126.
    4. speed - floyd
    5. power - hamed but not that much. floyd has pop at 130.

Floyd never fought at FW so how can he be the greatest of all time.

Hammed make Manny Pacs power look like Paulie Malignaggi.

Lets face it, it would just be a re-run of the MAB fight only worse.

Hamed would have his **** ruined by PBF, puncher's chance notwithstanding.

On the other hand Hatton has all the tools to make it a tough night for Floyd.

I saw that whole fight. If he didn't get knocked down chalk it up to forgetfullness. That fight happened a long time ago. I don't appreeciate you're insults.:fy
I know that Hamed beat Tom Johnson and Mc Collough. I think he beat a lot of people because of his power and because he had a physicological edge over many opponents. Against guys like Barrera and Kelly he didn't have it. Mayweather wouldn't be physed out by Hamed.

Couldn't have said it better myself....

And some of you young punks should RESEARCH before saying such stupid things.............Back in 98 or 99, Floyd BEGGED to fight Prince Hamed even proposing to fight him at 128lbs. and the Prince admitted that he didn't want any part of "that work." I think he said he's moved up enough weight classes or something like that....

I loved the Prince's fighting style, but don't get that man hurt...LOL

Floyd would have well and truly outboxed him from the outside-but anyone that mixed it with Hamed would stand an even chance of coming short--he was so unorthodox and threw bombs from anywhere--he thrived on drawing fighters into him---ask Kid Vegas-Kevin Kelley-Paul Ingle had Hamed all over the place at the end of the11th- start of the 12th Hamed drops paul with one punch to end the fight. An arrogant arsehole who became a regular talking point--which helped keep the focus on the sport of boxing.

    Damn . . . that's not even close.

The less mobile Barrera humilated the prime Hamed. What do you think PBF will do to this clown?

    :-(

I guess youve never seen Floyd fight at 130 or the MAB-Hamed fight. Mab did not fight a busy fight, he kept his hands high, countered Hamed when he lunged with his power shots.

I think you are assuming PBF at 130 was the same PBF of 154, and that MAB of the Morales trilogy and McKinney fights was the same Mab who fought Hamed.
