Jeff I genuinely think the fact Barry was so beloved as a fighter and as a man and Naz perceived flamboyant character colours peoples opinions. Both guys at their best then I think there can only be one winner and that is Naz by knockout. Don't get me wrong Barry was very good and I think potentially had the opportunity to be a great fighter but he blew by not facing Azumah Nelson and perhaps the loss to the unheralded Cruz. Nelson would have stopped Barry but he would have won serious kudos in the unification match. The annoying thing is that Barru actually did face some real good opposition on the way up e.g. Eubanks, Juan La Porte, defended the WBA title against Bernard Taylor, took the title of a great and aging legend in Pedroza. However the way his career went we cannot put him up there with Azumah Nelson, Sandy Saddler, Willie Pep, Pedroza, Salvador Sanchez, Barrera, Pacman, Barrera, Naz, Marquez etc

What about Valero vs Naz at 130  to make it plausible, Naz can come in at 126. I don't think it makes much difference, it would be over inside a round

I thinik you should go and read all my posts especially those that don't concern Ajose then you will understand that I really know boxing. Once done that should give you some pause to wonder why I am so confident about Ajose. When he fights all these guys at 140 who you rate and he does them in you will understand that I don't make outlandish comments. It is not that I don't rayte this guys, because I do but I know what I have in Ajose. He is the best 140 ponder in the world amnd has been for quite a while now. He just needs the opportunity to prove it conclusively.

    Yeah, very droll.

I'm guessing that if he bothered to put that he is a British Citizen on his official website then he is probably a British Citizen.

Apparently, you can't tell the different between birthplace and nationality.

Did I dream it or did McGuigan say recently that his hardest fight was avoiding Nelson?

Naz by mid-rounds KO. In fact Pat Cowdell to jab McGuigan's head off as well.
