Casa is probably a better pure boxer then MAB, a south paw with better power.

Hamed never played 'keep away' with Barrera. On the contrary, he came forward too much, and Barrera used his aggression against him by countering every time. Hamed was rarely ever a 'keep away' fighter -- he mostly came forward and tried to open his opponent up with taunting or jabbing, only to wait for them to throw a wide shot and then counter them with a lunging punch of his own.

This argument just goes round in a circle doesn't it?

There are fighters in the Hall of FAME who achived much LESS than Hamed.

The HOF is a piece of **** American concept that I personally don't care about at all.

But that said, I really don't understand this argument that somehow Hamed doesn't deserve to be in there, given what he achieved, and how famous he was, and considering the low entry criteria is, I think its obvious he should be in the HOF.

I see what you're saying, and that's certainly a very possible outcome.

Although, I tend to think that Hamed would carry his power up, its only 4lbs after all. As you say, Naz was a small FW, and Casa was a fairly robust 130 pounder, but because of their respective styles, I'm not sure how much effect that would have on the outcome...

Naz isn't going to want to get tied up, and Casa wouldn't want to work inside & stand and trade - he'd probably do that and get burnt early on, then subsequently try and pick Naz off from the outside after he'd tasted the power.

After that I can see Casa building up a slim lead going in championship rounds, by once again proving himself the superior technician that we know him to be.

Casa's stamina may let him down slightly late on, complacency perhaps creeps into the equation, at this point I can genuinely envisage a clean KD or two for Hamed, which may well hand him the fight via a disputed split decision.

    I'd say Casamayor by stoppage.

Hamed never fought at 130, but really he was a tiny FW that could have made 122 easily had he been motivated.

Good big one beats good little one, especially when the big guy has a styles advantage.

A naturally awkward counterpuncher with a decent beard would beat Hamed at 130 - a natural pressure fighter turned counter puncher did it at 126.

So Casamayor who had like a 60% KO ratio would KO Naz? A man that has never been on his arse for more than 2 seconds, and is usually only put there by being off balance? Really?
