Naz was brilliant but he had one character deficiency. When he lost to Barrera, a technically superior boxer, instead of going back to the drawing board and learning from his defeat, he went to pieces and chucked it in. Compare and contrast to Amir Khan, who lost to an inferior fighter than Barerra but had the character to re-assess his future and have a go at resurrecting his career.
Top boxers must be tough outside the ring too.

Difference being, Khan was a fair few years younger and Hamed was a multi-millionaire many times over. I know what you're saying, I was disappointed with Hamed's disappearance as well, but to be honest if I had more money than I was ever going to be able to spend I'm not sure I could be arsed getting punched in the face for a "living" either.

By the time of Hamed's solitary loss to Barrera, he'd earned £30 million +, won three world titles, headlined MSG and unified the Featherweight division.

What had Amir Khan done to rival that?

And why is a points loss, to a prime version of an ATG, even comprable to a brutal 54 second KO by someone no one had ever heard of?

Couldn't have put that better if I had all day to write it Hoya.

Once it's not a CURRENT Naz V a CURRENT S-F-Weight. Something tells me that Naz hasn't made S-F in quite some time :)

As far as I know Naz has never made Super Featherweight.

John beats Naz. Naz probably beats the rest, although the Gamboa fight would be much fun.

To ask this question means questioning how good a peak and focused Prince was. Prince was truly on another level at his peak, and proved this on many occasions. None of those guys would be competitive against him.

Absolute peak/prime Naz got put on his arse by Daniel Alicea. I think Gamboa would be more than competitive, I think he would score a KD and perhaps even hurt Naz, of course Naz would win in the end given that Gamboa's defence is built around stopping shots with his face. I think John might give Naz a bit of difficulty, John is hard working, fights smart, it wouldn't be a total walk over. I think Juarez would still be around for the final bell as well, maybe.

I agree i see Juarez being a bit like the Ingle fight but he gets through to final bell and makes it a bit closer.
