Ah, Hamed. Floyd always goes on about being 'flashy and flamboyant', but he never comes across anywhere near as convincing as Hamed's sheer flair and theatricality. Hamed, love him or hate him, was made for the spotlight. He also happened to be a very talented fighter...not as good as someone like Floyd, of course, but still very good.
Little understood retirement. Naz hit like a shotgun with a small frame. I've read him saying in an interview that his hands were shot to **** by the end of his career, thats what happens when you hit freaky hard but are a tiny guy.
naz had great reflexes and sick punching power. he had a reach disadvantage against most of his opponents and still knocked them out
hamed fought top guys. won more than 10 title fights. (i think it were 15 title fights). he was a great fighter
most hated and underrated fighter on this forum talent wise, he was probably one of the most talented fighters of all time at featherweight, and the entire boxing industry itself knows it he's a fighter who had unfulfilled potential, and at the time of his fight with Barerra, was no longer in love with the sport and was terribly out of shape (Manny Steward threatened to quit training camp multiple times because of the Prince's lax approach)....and he was outboxed pretty sound, but a peak Naz, in my opinion ****s up barerra and morales. at the height of his powers, as it has been well emphasised by boxing scholars and the professionals in the ring themselves, he put his title out there for all comers to challenge, including Mayweather Jr, Corrales, Gatti, Mosley, Morales, and Barerra, but each and every one of them refused at the time...and in the words of George Foreman 'for good reason, as this man is the most sensational thing since a young Muhammad Ali'. so basically, **** all the prince haters.... as far as the UK is concerned, the only other name i can remember that people would pay to watch in masses was Mike Tyson....these two guys took boxing to another level in terms of PPV in the UK
My favourite Hamed fight was v Bungu. Instead of looking for a one punch knockout (or not being able to find it) he fought clinically and eventually got the stoppage. If only he had shown the same intelligence against Barrera.
Anyone slating Nas as over-rated and **** should watch the last round ( 4th ) of that Bungu fight. I posted it on the page before this but of course they wont watch it cos they aint boxing fans, they just wanna slate a genuine world class talent because it suits their stupid personas. He was amazing in that fight and especially that round, the talent just stares you in the face.
your obviously an ignorant, narrow minded troll with no knowledge of boxing :deal you should quit esb and make some more tranny porn films :dead
lol at hamed having a glass jaw, after all he was knocked out a grand total of......zero times. what damning evidence! some people need to take their glass brains to their physicians.
