I remember about 10 year ago there was a news article about Asian communities being persuaded and educated in the repercussions of marrying family members. The reasoning behind it was the hospitals over here in the UK, were being drained with people being treated for inbreeding related illnesses. Fingers joined together, limbs missing, eyes where their noses should be, and elbows for knees. Truly a serious problem. I worked on an Asian guys house in Birmingham, plastering a new extension for his disabled son who had a live in carer ..I got chatting to the nurse that lived there one day when the family were out. She was telling me how the lad, only about 17, wouldn't see 30 and hes in and out of Hospital every few days, with twisted guts, and severe learning difficulties, to the point they cant care for him, it has to be round the clock professional care. I asked what caused all the kids health problems, her reply was Inbreeding.
