Joe fans disagree
In fairness that was as much a DQ as Crawford vs Khan...not controversial at all.
Prince Patel fighting for the IBO bantamweight title on the Amir Khan undercard in Saudi Arabia.
If he wins it, a few easy defences and then back over here for a few fights to climb the ladder before being iced out by Sunny Edwards?
he just purchased a new Ford Focus for his dad. So not sure he must be getting paid lol
I like the guy.
Same. We need characters like him in UK boxing, particularly in the light divisions. He insulted Barry Jones? So what?
Airport in Saudi been rocket attacked
They found out the con job is on
Hopefully the champ returns home soon after all his travels
Incredible belt collection!
Patel has more belts than all of American level fighters combined @Serge @lepinthehood
Wow! Even Prince P's sternest critics have got to admit that's extremely impressive.
I hope we have another two years before it all collapses, he's entertaining and I think the sport, and particularly the division, needs him.
A different style from Patel, standing his ground and looking to trade. A decent performance albeit against limited opposition but his attacks to the body along with lead uppercuts and good head movement while pressuring was good on the eye.
It was a odd fight though that 1st round lasted 4 minutes 47 seconds, don't think I've seen a round last as long as that, and that ring announcer (more like a bingo caller) pronounced a win by KO in the 1st round.
IBO title next against Venezuelan Michell Banquez 18|1 13 KO's #89 by Boxrec should be a much stiffer test and is his best opponent to date, he may revert back to more of a boxing style for this guy and if he does i believe he adds to his multi belt haul.
