Anthony Small was similarly 'confident' and it didn't do him much good in the earning stakes. He needs to draw crowds, not youtube views and I don't think people hating him will help him in that regard.

 

Patel will be a nobody.

He's getting his 15 minutes of fame right now.

Something after his first loss he'll never get again.

Thousands of boxers out there, very few make it.

 

It's obvious what he's doing and to an extent it will work and get him the exposure he's after. I don't think he fully understands the fall he is setting himself up for.

The problem he has is this: All his interviews will be online forever as will the many beatings he's going to get in the pro's. He'll be a professional joke, even his grandkids will laugh at him.

He'll be included on every single "boxings funniest moments" for eternity and spend the rest of his life as a laughing stock. It's not really worth a few extra £££ imo.

 

Yeah, but half of his entire generation are going down the same route, though most often on a smaller scale.

 

I'm surprised no one has give him a slap outside of the ring. He may be a pro boxer but plenty of regular blokes could batter someone that size.
