A lot of people say prize fighter counts for jack shi*t but look what it did for rejuvinating Ree's career and Audley Harrisons. It also propelled Casey & Rogan from unknowns to regional belt holders with Casey taking the European belt only last Saturday.

I'm not saying Prizefighter is the future of boxing. Neither do I think it is the best tournament in the professional ranks. Like a football match it can be hit or miss. Still though, you can't argue that it has a significant effect in the promotion of a fighter in Europe if not globally.

It hasn't done a lot for Patrick Mendy.

Remember him? He doesn't even seem to be in the running for an area title.

The one with Rees in it was fairly shite, he was just a level above and pretty much walked it.

Prizefighters ok and it's a chance for guys to make a name for themselves. We've seen some good stories from the series (Rogan, Sexton, Casey etc).

But when you say that it's produced 2 european champions, I'd argue that neither would've been european champions had it not been for dodgy promoting and a bit of luck. Audley should've fought Sosnowski and Casey should've fought Kiko Martinez for their titles and in all fairness both would've likely lost.

Anyway it's definitely a big part of the current domestic scene at the moment so you can't really argue with the promotion of it. I'm not a massive fan of it though it's worth a watch sometimes.

    Spot on :good

It's a good watch, but nothing beats a 12 rounder for me. 3x3 min rounds is a little too short and things can get alittle too scrappy. It's a good watch sometimes tho.

what are you on about mate. every PF winner has moved forward in there career including Mendy. Who wen't from opponent and journeyman to prospect. He turned down fights with DeGale and Groves at short notice and has moved to his natural weight class.

I dont mind Prizefighter at times. It's good for fighters to make a name for themselves like Willie Casey and Rogan etc and ives a chance to some of the lesser fighters get a title of some sort and nice paycheck also.
