Punching machine presumes that Oakey will be able to find Fry. Slick mover, even on the inside. Fry UD :deal
Same as you mate I've got !2 mate's to go tonight most of them don't follow boxing.I have been to a couple at york hall & for entertainment you can't knock it,Ok it's not boxing in the true sense each fighter knows his first opponent before hand & who they are likely to meet in the next match plus they get about 30mins rest between bouts 1 & 2 it is 3 rounds per bout last time there were two reffree's all night & each one was watching the others bouts so if they saw a boxer in trouble in a bout that they still were able to win I'm sure they took that onboard. they also have two sub's standing by in case someone has to drop out. After the first one I had mates phoning me to find out when I was next going to fights so for me it can only be positive see you there mate
Fry gets a hard time for concentration levels sometimes. He can look awesome when switched on, but to be fair even when switched off he grinds out a result. I'm a big lobbyist of Fry.
Those going with Spartacus want to put some reasons forward? I'm not dismissing the opinion, I've just seen very little of him...
Had a wee dabble at the bookies as per. Had £20 on Fry to win @ 7/4 £20 on Oakey to win @ 4/1 £80 double on Ajisafe and Spartacus to win there opening bouts both @ 5/6. (Well the Spartacus one is not too sure of the ajisafe/Dilks fight) Have seen Dilks a couple of times and he has looked no better than average to me. What do you think chaps?? Think the doubles a banker and Oakey is a good bet @ 4/1
I'v gone with Fry. I think he's got the best style for this sort of thing Oakey is best over more rounds where he can grind the other guy down.
Hey people. I know Carl Dilks from his days in the Army and have seen him box in the amateurs and he has all the tools to do well. He is my pick to surprise a few. Fry wont do so well and Oakey is a worthy favourite but does any body sense a pure outsider to win this. To late now its on
Ajisafe. Underdog, but he's a tall southpaw. It's going to be tough for guys to adjust to his style in 3 rounds.
shows just starting. i don't mind prizefighter to be honest. as long as you don't watch it expecting top level boxing...and as someone said, given the quality of some recent FFNs this will provide much more excitement. plenty of normal boxing on tomorrow night so chill!
If he gets past Oakey then its game on. A 4 round fight is such a different mistres to a 10 or 12 rounder (kinda like cup games in footy where the underdogs sometimes do well) anything goes
i've gone for ajisafe. looked good the one time i saw him, but hasn't fought anyone in the class of the tournament favourites (oakey / spartacus / fry)
