Is this just 3 easy wins for Hide?

Probably. I'm not complaining but I can't believe Hide signed up for this. He's on the brink of a WBC title fight. Then again, unless he easily beats whoever he faces he doesn't deserve one.

Hide just wants a payday wasnt he declared bankrupt not too long ago? He really should be gettin a shot a cruiser but he is being avoided/badly managed maybe a bit of both. I think he could win an abc belt at cruiser

It'd be hilarious to see one of the other guys take his scalp, and enjoy a meteoric rise in the WBC rankings. Ain't gonna happen though.

Yeah, the dancing destroyer should clean up. I'm looking foward to it though because Prize fighter has proven to be unpredictable.

Ok although the other entrants arnt that good, some people say, they all got a chance. Its 3 rounds, anything can happen in 3 rounds it is not enough time for a true world operater, not that Hide is quite that, can show his class.

anyone else think this might be quite a sly move on matchrooms part?

Hide realistically should win with plenty to spare, gets himself more exposure and hes looking at that world title shot. matchroom will be promoting him, if they can get him on a big bill with audley then they could have a very lucrative card for a Sky show, Barry Hearn has life in him yet!

I think Barry is on the up in boxing in the UK prizefighter obviously has become very popular through it he is able to cherrypick the best fighters who are given a lot of exposure he also has his eye on some of Hennesseys stable as shown by Barker on the Audley bill and he's picked up Rees as well

Barry Hearns son was the guy who came up with Prizefighter and Hearn Junior seems to be taking a more active role in boxing, good news if thats the case.

At this rate Boxing will soon be as big as darts, woohoo

It is a exhibition, so Hide will not lose anything if he is upset in a fluke.

LOL, the concept was invented at the very latest in the early 20th century, where one night tournaments were devised to help find the next white hope to fight Jack Johnson.

This ridiculous concept was so abused in Britain, it damn near destroyed the sport in the late 60s/early 70s...

Hide hasn't boxed for nearly 12 months, thats kryptonite to a fighter of his age. I can see him going out early like Williams did in the HW version

Indeed, I remember a similar tournament in the early 90's that Tony Tubbs won, it was supposed to be for a million$ but Tubbs ended up with about50k. Died on its ass

Im aware Hearn did not invent the concept just this latest incarnation:good
