There needs to be more of a distinction between when someone quits and the doctor stopping it. If the ref thought Alexander quit it should be a TKO, if the doctor stops the fight it should go to the cards.
Yeah that's true Gaz. To me that morally Bradley won via stoppage. He imposed his will and took any will that Alexander had and did what he had to do. For a man that had flu 2 weeks prior i wasn't unhappy with him not being as sharp as i once wanted. Just glad he got the win and put a mark on the clown's record. Bradley mentally won the fight in round 3 and 4. Watch at end of each round he walks back to corner and smiles. He knows he had his man and i think really fancied a KO last night sadly he got trigger happy and got sloppy as fight went on but it's understandable when the guy your trying to fight isn't really engaging other then fly swatting. I had Bradley winning 6-3 up going into final round on his way to winning the last few rounds because in round 9 Alexander's body language was of a man looking for time to fly. His actions were a disgrace and his trainer Cunningham seems more fussed about drawing attention to himself then actually working on his fighter. I think Bradley knew that even with a less then perfect camp and lacking the full sharpness required he could beat Alexander at what i would say was 80% of Bradley. He wasn't great and i was not happy like Joel with his crudeness at times but end of the day it's understandable when the other guys trying to shoeshine his way to victory and hold on for dear life. Must say i felt underwhelmed by everything last night...
Did they stop it on the cut eye? He got caught on the other side at the finish? My mistake if thats the case...... Still, that rule is open to abuse and not the cut and dried "good thing" that people make out. The Dr needs to be able say "Yes, you can fight on with that cut", if the boxer then chooses to quit then its a TKO. I've never seen a Dr do that when the fighter doesn't fancy it though, they always seem to go the the cards.
i thought they stopped the fight on the cut ruled to have been causex by the punch(right side), at the end of the fight he butted on the left side but was crying about the other cut. defo ooking for an easy way oiut, bit like Judah did against clottey but backfired:yep
they cant have stopped it over the cut on his left side because there wasent one , ok the one on his right side was nasty but it wasent gushing and blinding him in one eye
Alexander wasn't referring to the eye with the cut when complaining. He was claiming something was in his left eye, on the side he was headbutted. The doctor thought that perhaps that blow to the head had effected the nerve to the eye which was causing it to be paralyzed and not functioning correctly... He basically quit, as he could of continued had he wanted to
bad fight, bad finish, bradley looked flat and alexander looked like a novice and like he bottled it. jim watt is a knob as well,he had it a draw i think,he was saying how alexander was hitting bradley at will at times, not a chance knobjockey, some rounds were only close becouse of alexander legging it around the ring and bradley unable to catch the ****er. real anticlimax and please take khan off air for****sake, the boy is quite the idiot,"what weights this" was the numbnuts line of the night (he dident know who kendell holt wasatsch)
he was well within in his right to ask what weight it was considering it was 144 catchweight and i preety sure he knows who holt is
