No doubt. So, if this isn't bull**** and Shane gets to wear Reyes; what psychological impact will that have for Floyd? If any Seriously, this match is so geared towards a Floyd win styleswise I don't know why I'm so excited for it.
I'm not really excited I have to say. Well, I'm excited, but not more than any other decent US fight. I don't think it will turn out to be a great fight. If it was Pac/Mayweather on the other hand...
Oh, if that were the case I'd struggle to get to sleep tonight, like Christmas Eve as a kid. Especially because that's an even more exciting styles clash, due to Pac being in his prime with THE FEET to keep up with Floyd. I stand by what I've been saying since the fight was mooted; Pac by drubbing:deal
Agreed, Pac can move, thats the difference. He finds a lot more angles, there is just a chance he may actually hit Floyd a lot more than anybody else and he's completely relentless. Mosley's punching is quite orthodox, he rangefinds with his jab and then he looks for the right hand and left hook and I think it will be negated. Pac has his money punch the left hand, but he's improved his hooks, he finds uppercuts, and they all come from different places. He also works the body more. I was more excited for many of the super six fights than this.
I feel to beat Floyd, you need the footspeed to constantly be on his ass, something Mosley doesn't have. He also plants himself down and telegraphs his shots at times, Floyd will see it nice and easy. Which is why he's probably taken the fight, he's not in the habit of taking on tough challenges is he, whatever 24/7 may be trying to convince us at the moment Nice avi by the way :good
I don't have a problem with the fight itself. Mosley is just about the best welterweight out there except for himself and Pacquiao. I just don't think its a tough style for him and I don't think it will pan out to be a good nevermind great fight. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised and Mosley will quickly realize what he needs to do, these soundbytes that he can box with Mayweather are disturbing me. Williams could have been tougher but we have to presume he's long gone from 147lbs now. It's just a shame he put obstacles infront of the Pacquiao fight, for all his bluff he knows thats a really really tough fight.
Same here. Mayweather will win and we'll be back to square one with the Mayweather-Pacman negotiations
That's the crux of my problem with it. I personally think Floyd reeks of a guy who'd be a terrible loser. Hence why I think he doesn't want the Pac fight. He sees something there that he cannot devise a plan for. People say 'Floyd will land with accurate shots all night' but I personally think Floyd makes more mistakes in regards to Pac's style (defensive shell on the ropes for instance) than Pac does in regards to Floyds. He can be hit if you can counter him through his wild flurries; he can be dissuaded by a stern jab and by keeping him on the move, but as I say I think Pacs angles and engine stop anyone from doing this on a consistent enough basis to rack up the rounds, at least post-Marquez II, and it's clear that Pac has progressed technically since then, if not then the bigger guys can't deal with his speed. Whilst a fast guy himself (stating the obvious) I think Floyd will find Pacs combinations far more trouble to deal with than Pac will with Floyds technical ability, which isn't as impressive as say, Wilfred Benitez's (someone I'd pick over Pac in a heartbeat)
Manny would be wide open to Mayweather right hand, as he was against Marquez. A superior punch output is not going to overcome that, not in this case, Manny Pacquiao is not Joe Calzaghe, he cannot dream of overcoming such a nasty stylistic nightmare against a legend like Hopkins or Mayweather.
I'd see nothing to fear in that guy Kahut even though he outweighs me like 3-4 stone in weight. I know old women down our local club who are like 50- 60 ish in age who would have put a better fight up against Krence. You could see him winding up his punches like 3-4 seconds before it would miss Krence. He was boxing as if someone was controlling him in a computer game on the other end of a joystock\joypad down a bad dial up connection with lots of lag. :good Those two didn't look like fighters to me, let alone Prizefighters.
Why don't they...... 1. Have a standard ring size 2. Have standard glove sizes for each weight class 3. Have standard specifications for the gloves 4. Allow fighters to choose their own brand 5. Have standard Olympic drug testing Or is that too simple?
Can't have 'standard Olympic drug testing' (whatever that is) unless there's a body in charge to implement it. Which there isn't.
