Well I had thought in terms of quality but I suppose you're Wright, although Prizefighter has certainly achieved some things for fighters domestically.
Without it Martin Rogan would probably be retired without having ever fought Harrison or Skelton.
Sam Sexton would still be a prospect comebacking after a loss to Chisora.

Michael Lomax would be a good bit down the pecking order in the British Welterweight scene and it's certainly boosted the profile of Martin Murray who if he wins on Friday won't be that far off a British title shot.

So it definitely has some impact. Seeing as how poor the British Cruiserweight scene is the winner of this fight will probably fight the winner of Dolan-Keeton in an eliminator for the title.

It is a bunch of evenly matched guys, and guys that can punch(as I've said) though, so despite many of them being shot and a few coming out of retirement it might be a decent nights entertainment which I suppose what this is meant to be about.

You can throw the sweet science out the window though, this is toughman stuff.

Yeah when i saw the list, Simpson etc........theres no doubt this is the most ragged one yet. As someone else says, its about having a "barney" but hmmm i did expect more, regarding the quality.

Yeah am backing him ( Corbett ) At the bookies, certainly not lol

I see what your saying but from what i've heard dean needs ££££ real bad he's moved to london to get away from his problems and has said he needs big money fights and i think he thinks this will be a quick nights work get £25k in bank and move on to bigger and better things he would hope. i do worry about him in this type of competition because he can be a little lazy but quality wise he should be able to exploit these guys and win but prizefighter has thrown up the odd shock. getting real bored of it to be honest i think hearns rinising the idea dry. least this is a better line up then the pile crap served up last time.

Its a fascinating line up..... That sham in Scotland last time nearly ruined the whole concept but this should redeem the series. I can't wait to see these guys fight each other. Fair enough they are all a fair few years passed their best with the exception of Steeds and Francis, but prizefighter isn't a British title elimination series- Its about entertainment. That seemed to have been lost last time out as the powers that be desperately tried to navigate their fighters into the final. I think this will be the best one yet.

Why don't they just let it die?

The first one was good, they are just prolonging it for no reason.

someone will get badly damaged in one of these circus tournaments...you're going to get a fella way past his best {as may happen in this one by the look of it} going into the final really knackered and get knocked out badly...

dont think i'll ever like the idea of prizefighter.

He won the British, European and failed in an IBF attempt, and Jeff how can you say Francis isn't past his best ?

Just because he's good enough to compete domestically doesn't mean he isn't well past his best now, especially as he's been a one armed fighter for how long ?
