Cool, thanks. Is Choi looking as strong as he did against Action Jackson, or more like he did in his last PF @ super feather?

It seems the key to looking good for him is weighing less, which is almost counter-intuitive for a forty year old. You'd think continuing to cut down after so many years would be taxing.

 

Semifinal #1: George Jupp vs. Choi Tseveenpurev

 

Round 1

Overhand rights by Choi wading in, as Jupp tries to box out behind the jab. Left hooks at the body by Choi, tipping off balance with the force of each hurl. Nice left upper-hook counter by Jupp, turns Choi's head while the Mongolian warrior is trying to hack a rent in Jupp's tummy and spill his breakfast. Wild overhands by Choi, missing. Jupp is ducking and circling, working a nice jab. Clubbing overhand right by Choi, overreaching a bit and just landing across the back of the neck. Nice steadying jabs and long uppercuts and straight rights by Jupp as he circles.

Round 2

Choi is spraying leather, working overhands and body shots in equal measure. Jupp is trying to create some distance with his long jab and a pendulum uppercut on the back foot, but Choi is grinding in and getting him caught up on the ropes and corners. Left hook by Choi up close. Wild overhand right and left hook miss by Choi but he's making Jupp completely freeze up on the inside with his storm of punches. NICE high left hook to the jaw catches Jupp again.

Round 3

Jupp slips to the canvas and Choi hits him while down but immediately looks contrite as the referee cocks an eyebrow and mulls over whether to give a warning or dock a point. Choi comes on strong, putting up hard right hands to detonate on whatever they can find - shoulder, temple, bicep, eye socket. Jupp trades some left hooks with him while hopping back out of the way as quickly as he can. Tseveenpurev just keeps coming and hammering down with those mousetrap rights. Jupp is working some nice snappy left hooks while bouncing up and down, ducking when Choi throws the right and punching back on the up-swing. A short triple left hook to the face by Choi, not thrown with much steam and used almost like a jab to set up the right. Jupp slips out the side door and trots across the ring. Choi keeps coming, swinging hard. Jupp ties up and shoves off. Choi runs him to the ropes, always swinging.
