Brian Minto vs. Michael Sprott, 3 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Round 1

Sprott is tying up, Minto worming his way in and billygoating him in the chest. Double jab up top, right to the body by Minto, falling in and shelving his forearms on Sprott's pecs. Repeat. Minto is busy, pushing ahead, walking onto light jabs. Sprott is brushing with the jab, not really snapping it, but landing as many as he wants.

Round 2

Sprott is pushed up on the ropes and blasted with lefts and rights as Minto shoves him into position and uses the buoyancy of the ropes to his advantage. Minto is using Sprott like a double-end bag, letting him bounce into punches, away, back again with nowhere to go. Sprott finally gets free staggering Minto with a big counter right hand. Minto recovers and slaps the body, shouldering into Sprott to pin him on the ropes. They wrestle and Sprott tosses Minto out to land a big 1-2 on the chin. Minto presses in and holds. Right hand, BIG left hook by Sprott.

10-9 Sprott, was losing the first 90 seconds and looked perhaps on his way to being kayoed early but stole it back.
