    Round 2

Clinch right off, initiated by Banbula. He keeps it up and is lucky not to get warned. The referee actually speaks sternly to both. Banbula gets to his outside lane and flashes little slapping pot shots while preventing Dodson from getting squared on him. Dodson lands a nice jab while chasing Banbula down. He keeps his gaze fixed on the jerking head of Banbula and catches it with a shrot hook. Banbula is slapping underneath into clinches, snaring his arms under Dodson's. They push into the ropes and Dodson is leaned back over them, and shrugs at the ref. Ugly stuff. Banbula is gushing (and gasping). Dodson tries to get off, but Banbula is sticking to him like glue.

Sam Couzens is the alternate (for Morris, against Dickinson)

    Round 3

Dodson is on a tear, leading with right hands and left hooks and ringing Banbula's bell. Banbula gives up on trying to stuff himself into a clinch from mid-range as he's getting hit too much, and hangs back looking to play keepaway. When Dodson charges in Banbula can't help but step in to meet him halfway and swallow him up. Dodson is landing well before the clinches, though...just once at a time. Low and long reaching body hook by Dodson as Banbula peppers him with soft combos to the head from outside. Dodson threatens with his jab and Banbula is nowhere near it, keeping well off. Dodson narrows in and Banbula clinches. Banbula sneaks in a lead right and misses an uppercut, trying to steal the round with a big shot. Dodson just puts up a high guard and outboxes him at short range.

    30-27 Dodson

Afraid not, bud. Directly after PF I'm off to a family gathering, which may or may not be out in time for Bradley-Alexander. It'll be a miracle if I'm able to do a RBR for that.

    Dodson gets it.

Well, we're 2-1 (sensible decisions to bafflers). I'm still stung for Slate.

Update out of South Africa. So, if you don't want to know what happen don't look at this post. :D

Joyi-Takayama fight ended in a NC.
Baloyi-Mendez fight ended with Mendez winning a UD.
Props for Kayo-Kid for bringing us updates in Kirk's thread.

    Round 1

Smyth out fast, whipping hard jabs. Edwards turns himself left and backs up in stuttered steps. Smyth keeps shooting straight through with hard punches and buzzes Edwards, who takes a second to scramble and recover against the ropes. Smyth lays back and slips a few measuring jabs from Edwards, and then bursts through and works the body and brings some hard hammers upstairs. Edwards buzzed again! He's going to get KTFO if he doesn't change it up. Edwards is running to the corners and takes to wild low-handed slapping as Smyth encroaches, leaving hi chin hanging open. Smyth punishes him with short punches as Edwards melts into the ropes and desperately flails out. Edwards gets out to open floor and starts winging wild shots, leading with uppercuts and Smyth bangs him HARD with a short hook. Edwards wobbles.

BIG round for Smyth, best of the night.

    10-9

    OH NO!

Today has some solid ass fights. Hope you don't miss Bradley/Alexander!

Damn, for some reason I really want to see that South African card. Not sure why... it's got to be Joyi!

Damn, that ****ing sucks about the no contest.

I am glad Baloyi lost; Fana vs. Baloyi doesn't need to be the next Molitor vs. Ndlovu.

    Round 2

Smyth drives his forceful jab up at Edwards' face. Edwards has a fragile look about him and is windmilling savagely. HE CATCHES SMYTH and knocks him back into the ropes!!!!! Edwards goes for it, wailing away with no technique whatsoever, slapping his brains out!!! Smyth drops a perfectly timed right hand counter straight through the middle and BUZZED EDWARDS!!! They get back to trading and AGAIN EDWARDS CATCHES SMYTH WITH A WILD ONE!!!! SMYTH ON THE ROPES!!! EDWARDS KEEPS SLAPPING!!! IT IS OVER!!!!

Cheers. :good No worries about spoilers; it isn't as though there's a replay or tape-delayed broadcast to catch.

Damn. Menay was BY FAR the inferior fighter through most of those five minutes or so (and fighting not just scared but terrified), but got some lucky haymakers in (and benefited from perhaps a quick stop).

No way does he beat Dodson with that style.

Wow, what a hugfest this first round of Jones/Dickinson is.

After every punch each threw they would hug.
