Quarterfinal 3: Adil Anwar vs. Barry Morrison

 

War Barry Morrison!! SCOTLAND!!!!

 

Round 1

Anwar is leaning back on the outside, being elusive and slippery and flipping out some weak jabs and hooks. Morrison looks to chop in with right hands behind high jabs. Anwar is throwing wild climbing hooks from the hip and slingshot right hands. Morrison is having trouble landing on Anwar and dealing with his offensive awkwardness. Lots of movement by Anwar, around in circles with frequent directional changes and dropping a level every now and then before jumping in with wild shots. Morrison just keeps trying to plant his high straight left jab and put an overhand right behind it when he sees Anwar laying by the ropes for a split second.

Round 2

Jab to the body by Morrison. Anwar drops in a right hand from on high. Morrison is knocking away at the body, head bowed. Anwar is pushing out his long left jab while backing up. Anwar lays on the ropes and slaps Morrison coming in with some loose whipping rights. Morrison is leaping forward with high left hooks and falling short. Anwar ducks in against him, bounces off and sprints in circles to his left jabbing. Another clinch. Morrison tries to dig to the body but gets held underneath the upper arms. Morrison keeps missing hooks and right hands. Anwar is slapping with counters backing up. GOOD right hand by Morrison, made the crowd perk up but Anwar shrugged it off. More jabs by Anwar dancing around on the outside, making Morrison miss his right hand.
