    Hi,

Is anyone else really looking forward to the Prizefighter light welterweights on Friday?

    Lynes, Mutley, Rees, Bami.

Who's your pick and do you think the night will deliver?

I'm thinking Rees has a very good chance here with his fast style and quick punches to win his fights on points.

    Any thoughts?

I am looking forward to it but have not thought one bit about who I think is going to win. Seems pretty open so I just hope we get exciting action and plenty of KO's.

Looking forward to it, good start to a weekend of boxing. Always enjoy prizefighter, it is what it is if you dont like it dont watch it:deal

Its a tough one to call, i think the winner of Lynes / Barnes gets it and will probably back barnes at 5-1, tho given my recent form that could be the kiss of death:lol:

I think that Barnes is a cracking bet at 5-1.....One thing for certain is that it will be 100 times better than the shite we were served up this Friday...I am looking forward to it....it will be a close run thing with plenty of action...:good

I am looking forward to it, but I don't like the direction that Prizefighter is taking. I mean it was great when prospects were fighting in the tournament, because it was a great platform for them to become recognised and it was also good when past it fighters tried to have one last shot at glory. But now it seems that future tournaments will just have top ranked British fighters in it, when they really should be fighting each other, but in 10-12 rounders and for honours, other than the 'Prizefighter' title.

I agree... I think that there should be some guidance that certains fighters cannot compete if they are in the top ten or have been a domestic Champion on the last 2 years... Ex World Champs should not be able to enter...:think

It was originally supposed to be a platform for either forgotten prospects or for lads who wont get the chance at the big time or a decent payday. These lads have virtually all fought for titles and have all earned a decent whack out of it.

If it wasn't for Barnes' hair I wouldn't be watching it, what the **** has he done

exactly. its fine when audley, williams and crew have a crack as people were beggining to lose interest in them and they had come to a standstill but it could get to a stage where its taking away potential good 12 rounders.

I agree with your comment about how it will stop some 10-12 rounders taking place...

I think that it is also showing the ambition of some competitotrs too... If that is where they see themselves competing or is it for airtime on Sky...???
