Boxrec has lovingly supplied us for the fighters for the next Prizefighter competition, happening in Kelvin Hall, Glasgow

    Ryan Brawley - 9-0 with 1KO aged 23

Gary McArthur - 11-0 with 1KO, coming off an absence of more than a year, aged 27, former British Masters champion

Steve Saville - 19-4 with 8KOs former Midlands Light Welterweight challenger aged 32

Paul Holborn - 9-1 (and one draw) current 'International Masters Lightweight champion' aged 25

    Stephen Burke - 8-0 with 2 KOs aged 29

Stuart Green - 11-9 Scottish and Celtic title challenger aged 24

Charlie Paul King - 14-0, current Scottish champion

Ben Murphy - 6-1 with 3KOs is naturally a Light Welterweight

    -----------------------------------
Nothing spectacular but intriguing none the less, my money is on Brawley however do not rule out Murphy (he beat Gary Buckland) or McArthur

Burkey wins this.... Gary Reid is a sub, he's got a fair chance too..... Apparently Terry Dunstan is in the next one- Which is at Cruiser....

I think the heavyweight prize fighter is the only one that makes sense.

The Rogan tourney was new, exciting, raw and fast paced.

This far down the line it's just a conveyor belt for mediocrity.

More like a brutal gameshow, and not a very interesting one.

It's been done. No need for any more.

Great for the boxers who otherwise would mill the domestic circuit without the premise of a winner takes all live on Sky TV.

Yep since the first its been getting worse.

Not enough big punchers in them.

It serves a purpose for the boxers but the appeal to the viewer has waned greatly.

The first and last one weren't bad, those in between have not been that good at all.

Look out for Saville, he's a pure banger and just comes out fighting, think this prizefighter lark could suit him, got quite a good following flying upto glasgow to support him.

I agree the format has got a bit stale already BUT the fact is boxing wise it pulls in Sky's best viewing figures, so I doubt they'll shelve it anytime soon.

Decent set of fighters in the competition but I would have liked to have seen a few KO artists or a few old big names in there too like Gomez, Johannesson and even let Choi jump up a few weights for some entertainment.

My money is on Steve Saville. Hilarious fighter who goes for the KO.

Yeah I hope Sav can do it, he's a lovely guy.

In the ring he's like a little tazmanian devil, he's a real fighter and goes for it. His last fight (beat Baz Carey 7th round stoppage for the vacant Midlands strap) was a mini war, the best non TV fight I saw last year.

They need to get a couple of better names in there. I like the idea of getting 3 fights on your record and winning $25k. It's a good format for fighters. It's like a toughman contest.
