Prizefighter stopped in about 2015. It was a tournament where all fights took place on the same knight with elimination format. I used to love those shows, really good entertainment. Fighters taking part got good exposure from these events. Prizefighter is set to return next year on DAZN.
Always enjoyed the heavyweight Prizefighter tournaments. Watching Martin Rogan go through it and then have success against Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton was an exciting time for me as a relatively young boxing fan.
It was good for boxing. Fans got to familiarize themselves with UK domestic talents in bite-sized morsels, and you could see the wheat and chaff separate in real time. Also nearly always having short 'n' sweet live fights to watch on a Friday afternoon (for us Yanks) was nice. I miss it.
