    A damn shame.

Someone I knew got stabbed in the gut during a drug meeting, luckily he lived and is clean living.

Some people are not so lucky.
    RIP Brett....

Very sad. He gave a great account of himself in prizefighter and nobody who knows Brett around these parts has a bad word to say about him.

    RIP

as always in these situations my thoughts go out to the family and those close to both of them. End of the day even if they had done a really heinous crime (doesnt seem the case in this and im far too uninformed to comment) they still have people who love and care about them who must be going through hell right now.

Shows how underappreciated boxers are in this country barring the 1% who are well known with others resorting to desperate measures to avoid debt.

Im not someone who believes that because someone has died they should be immune to insults/negative comments but we must remember they are real people and the chances are if he has family/friends interested in boxing more than one will be on this site reading what people are saying.

Really sad to hear, remember him from Prizefighter - boxed brilliantly. Was surprised he never had any fights lined up after that.

    R.I.P :-(

It is a shame, but there is just no money in boxing at the lower levels.

The call of easy money is all too tempting.

I know of a current fighter who holds a title above British level at the moment and he is well deep into the drug game...I wouldnt mention his name but its pretty common knowledge around his area. The police are certainly well aware of his antics. No sympathy if he throws it all away being an idiot, but I wouldnt wish anyone to be killed over it.

    Nice try

But I'm not narrowing it down any further. I was reluctant to mention it in the first place.

I reckon its only a matter of time before he gets banged up anyway. Hes had some very lucky escapes the last few years. The police are just itching to pin something on him.
