I reckon you could get them in for maybe 80-100k. I don't think it'd actually take the sort of figures they've been used to earning because of the way Prizefighter is. 3 rounds then a break, heavyweights fancy themselves in it. It's something different. Plus if they get shot to **** names like Rahman they can't earn any decent money these days because no ****er wants to see them in a normal fight.
Am I right in thinking Americans who come here and box get their earnings very heavily taxed...hence one of the reasons we see few yanks come over..?
yeh but its the same for any fighter going aboard. UK fighters will get taxed there etc. there ways around it though of course.
rocky fielding usually campaigns at light heavy so maybe his power is more evident at the weight class below...
That was probably the best prizefighter so far. The format can work well & when it does its very entertaining.
Just got in I thought Rocky was a dark horse and he looks pretty handy big lad long arms accurate and looks to have a bit of power at SMW and a big ticket seller he could definiteyl get opportunities
Good amateur pedigree at the Rotunda too...:yep. If he is a ticket seller then I guess he will get plenty of contests...:yep I trust after last night he is with Matchroom...:think
He must have. :good They said during the broadcast that no other PF winner has gone through with three stoppages (meaning every other one has started at least five rounds) - which is honestly a bir shocking given the format and that there have been sixteen of them already.
Best so far? It was a joke. Fair play to Rocky Fielding for winning but his draw was the easiest I've seen so far. Maxwell was shot to pieces not to mention half a foot smaller. Then Ainscough was somehow given the most ridiculous decision ever to get the semis and of course was in no fit state to box so an easy one round wipeout for Fielding and then the final where Webb had all his energy sapped after two tough bouts with Robin Reid and Smyle. The night was pretty entertaining I'll give it that but as for the boxing, was terrible in my opinion.
You just can't please some people. The only was I enjoy PF is by thinking of it as a bit of entertainment, it's not "real" boxing and I don't look at it in the same way. It's Boxings' 20/20 cricket.
Looked in excellent nick for a 40 year old but his sense of timing and distance were way off. Kept grabbing Webb's legs as well. Should be the end really
