Ainscough vs. Reed is next!

 

Ainscough is a 7/4 underdog but has the crowd behind him.

Round 1

Ainscough gets right in there and starts slapping left hooks around the side. Big wild looping right hands come around the other side. Reed just slides back and tries to line him up with a straighter attack, favoring the 1-2. Ainscough keeps windmilling his way in with big hooks. HUGE hook and cross combo lands for Ainscough. Then another right hand flush on the button!! Reed is backed to the ropes, and clinches. Ainscough clubs at the side of Reed's head with his right. He keeps Reed pinned to the ropes. Ainscough with hooks to the body!! Reed tries to step back and jab. Ainscough jumps on top of him and presses against him. Reed skips back and finds himself again on the ropes, and leaps forward with a jab but falls short as Ainscough puts on the brakes. Ainscough misses his right hands as Reed ducks. Ainscough lands to the body. Reed tries to counter but is reduced to slapping. Ainscough lands a hook.

Round 2

Ainscough misses with an uppercut but it gets Reed's head moving right into position for a left hook to land squarely. Ainscough starts pumping his right hand straight now as he gives chase. Reed is trying to use quick foot movement and lands hooks to the body. Reed has his hands low. Ainscough is coming in more cautiously now. They swing their way into a clinch. double jab by Ainscough, then he starts swinging wildly again and catches Reed on the sides of the neck with his wrists. Big right hand by Ainscough. Clinch. Reed works the right to the body on the inside. Ainscough gets right up close and throws a short hook but Reed ducks. Reed lands a 1-2 to the face, but softly. Ainscough is still throwing hard stuff, lands a hook. 2 punch combo for Reed, still just slaps. Ainscough throws a big overhand right and falls a bit short. Ainscough throws a right hand and misses but throws a left hook behind it and clips Reed.

Round 3

Reed pumps his right jab and looks to put an overhand left behind it. Ainscough is staying on the outside trying to catch Reed out of position after a miss. The right jabs are landing, the overhand lefts are missing. Ainscough crouches and steps his way in. Ainscough takes a left hook and wobbles and nearly goes down!! Reed starts laying it on. Straight right jabs are followed by looping lefts. Ainscough ducks his way in and pins his head to Reed's stomach. Reed lands a right hook. Ainscough keeps coming but isn't attacking much, looking mainly to clinch. 1-2 from Ainscough. Reed just strafes off and gets his arms up to defend and push away. Ainscough keeps throwing big punches but looks tired. Reed is keeping distance. Ainscough gets close but can't get off cleanly and stumbles into a clinch. BIG left hook to the body by Ainscough. Another. BIG OVERHAND RIGHT to the face!! Reed responds with a quick combo that tips Ainscough over. He beats the count just before the bell.

28-28 for me...not sure what happens in a draw in this tournament. :huh

They must have given him the 3rd round despite the knockdown (and just deducted the point, hence it being 30-28 and not 30-27).
