Ian John Lewis obviously got his boxers name the wrong way round. How can he possibly score 30 to a boxer who has been knocked down is beyond me. BBBofC should take a VERY close look at that.

Is it even possible to win a round with 10 points even though you were knocked down? Wtf?

:good He was clearly tired and much less effective.

I think a draw was the fairest result (and would have been the most interesting...because how the hell do they reconcile with the single elimination format? An extra 4th round, like in K1? :think)

Half the British forum is arguing Reed won the 2nd (as Jim Watt did) but honestly he had only just started to get in rhythm and didn't start avoiding punishment well until the 3rd.

28-28. Neither deserved the win based on the three rounds completed.

This boxing is terrible, like watching a fight outside a pub. How can these young men be so tired after 1 round? Don't they spar?

Hahaha, what made you post that after only having 2 posts in nearly as many years?

He obviously didn't get their names wrong. Look at the score: 30-28. That means 3 rounds to none, with a point deducted for the knockdown. That can't be anything but a score for Ainscough. He just didn't score the last one 10-8 for Reed as most everyone else did.

It's due to the format. They're going all out, because you only have 3 rounds to work and it's highly encouraged to go for the KO (to save time and energy, to be fresher should you advance...and because dodgy things can happen on the scorecards with so few rounds)

    Round 1

Reid comes out and does a lot of grabbing. He grabs Webb's leg below the knee. :? Reid keeps crouching down and grabbing. Webb is letting his hands go, flailing away at the low base of Reid. Webb starts to jab high from the outside, using his length. Good body shots by Webb now. Reid is trying to pop his own jab now with each lateral step, trying to find his rhythm. Reid tries a big overhand right but it bounces off Webb's elbow and Reid grabs again. Rabbit punches from both, in a lot of sloppy exchanges where they walk right into each other. Reid stick s a jab in Webb's face. Body shot by Reid and Webb hooks him right in the face.

    10-9 Webb

    Round 2

Webb is coming forward and thrusting his jab straight out into Reid's face, and dropping his left down to hook the hip. Reid is keeping his right hand up by his chin trying to catch some jabs. Reid starts bouncing around on his toes and rolling his left shoulder with his arm held low. Webb throws some croquet shots to the body. Reid throws a 1-2 up close before they entangle. Webb throws a flurry of uppercuts while backing his way out of the pocket. Reid throws a 1-2 and Webb answers right back with his own. Webb is maintaining distance.

    20-18 Webb
