tut DeGale would beat Mendy. Mendy's good but he wouldn't be James.

What? The second round was fairly even since neither did much, but you couldn't possibly have given the first or third to David? :blood

    Mendy deserved the win.

mendys record and situation reminds me a bit of El Maachis, if he was promoted differently he would be unbeaten, Good night and a deserved victory imo.

It's a bit shocking that Horton is the first and only KO of Mendy's career.

32,000 pounds? I hadn't made that total by 19, let alone in a night.

Think so he has been in UK for a long time as far as I'm aware, I think he has a passport but I'm not 100% sure though. Shoudln't matter either way no fighter with a record of 8-4 should get a shot at the European.

Mendy has been matched incredibly hard though from the very start of his career - I'm just glad he got this opportunity.

Stuey posted a few days about how Mendy (like El Macchi) didn't KO anyone because it was harder to find work. Hopefully this helps Mendy get fights unlike El Macchi who hasn't had a decent opponent in ages

  15. Fortunately he had God on his side.

Fair play though, great result for a 19 year old.
