    Round 3

Evans dancing around, raining right hands on Fedorenko. Evans slipping jabs and clinching when Fedorenko flurries in on him. Fedorenko still inaccurate, and less busy than he's been. Evans by turn isn't landing anything big but is touching Fedorenko.

    29-28 Evans

There's still two quarterfinalists left to see - Carl Drake and Paul David - but so far Patrick Mendy seems the head of the class, although he was only in the ring for 90 seconds.

:conf I'm not expecting there to be anywhere near as many posts as the one in the British forum; I'm just doing this to expose the larger audience of the General Forum to something that might otherwise slip past their notice.

Sugar Paul David vs. Carl Drake

    Round 1

SPD with a flashy style, circling around Drake and holding him off with jabs and quick footwork. Drake having trouble getting off clean with his slower legs and shorter arms. Drake leaping in with hooks, landing one here and there but not with great impact. SPD boxing and moving well, keeping himself virtually unscratched.

    10-9 David

    Round 2

David slips, and continues gliding around the ring. David with a nice hook and uppercut combination on the move. Drake wobbled for a moment, but David doesn't press the attack, keeps skating. Drake catches David in a lazy moment with a big looper. Drake windmilling shots now, taking jabs and straight shoeshines to the top of the head. Triple jabs from David. A double jab setting up an uppercut. David getting off and getting out. Drake not cutting the ring, trailing after SPD and eating jabs.

    20-18 David

The action holds true to the pattern of previous rounds, until a big David uppercut right under the beard puts Drake flat on his back and out cold.

My guess is David and Mendy get through Cadman and Evans to the Finals.

    Mendy vs. Cadman

    Round 1

Mendy with a body jab, and weaves swiftly around Cadman. A lot of handspeed from Mendy; Cadman covering up and not firing back. Awkward uppercuts flying at Cadman, as he shuffles back and tries to block with his forearms. Clinch from Cadman. Mendy knocks Cadman into the ropes and fires rapidly at him, bashing his guard. Cadman tries to clinch and Mendy twists free while moving his hands. Mendy slips a Cadman jab and comes back at him with awkward power punches. Uppercut lands up the middle, and Mendy follows it with a hook on the kisser. Cadman clinches again. Mendy now getting a bit wild, swinging from the hips and Cadman comes very close with a pair of right hands. Mendy calms down and goes back to jabbing and moving. Cadman rushes in to a corner with a 1-2 but Mendy is too slippery and gets out, tags him on his way by.

    10-9 Mendy

    Round 2

Cadman emerges like a beast, throwing both fists hard with everything he's got at Mendy. Mendy leans on the ropes and survives the initial onslaught. Mendy gets on the move and begins to jab Cadman as he slows. Cadman cocks a big right hand and pours it back on. Now Mendy clinching. They gain little separation before they're back in the clinch. Cadman with a hook that has Mendy grabbing on, Cadman landing a right before he can! Mendy paying a bit for his cocky wildness and low-held hands. Cadman tries to hook the head of Mendy in the clinch but with very little steam at the range. Mendy backing up, jabbing, and throwing wild uppercuts off the backfoot. They tie up until the bell.
