I think prizefighter is such a unique tournament, it would be good to see the likes of Groves and Degale in this, but it is very risky for them,

These are fighters that are being guided through their careers a step at a time, I am not saying they are hand picked opponents, but they are definitely chosen wisely, ie no ko power so limited risk of an upset as long as the skills are there.

Prizefighter is just so unpredictable, out of the line up so far you could pick out the winners purely by experience and record, the its the guys you dont know much about, or havent seen before that are likely to cause an upset

Just how long do Robpalmer, Gazoc and Fleaman have to keep the 'dodgy' avatars?

i think its a terrible idea to put Groves, DeGale or Jeffires in prizeifghter.

These guys should be aiming higher. Prizefighter is for guys hopeing to build a name and get a domestic title shot. Any of these entering would take the place of someone what needs there place in the tournement for the money, recognition and career boost. None of them need that right now.

Groves won't enter. Booth said he'll defend his C'Wealth against the winner.

    Dodson should enter.

I still think this format could work really well for some fighters. Look what it did for Rogan, Harrison etc Rogan was a nobody and Harrison career was dead but now he is Euro champ.

groves is a mother****ing ***** if he bitches out. He is a prospect, and this would define him in the british super middleweight division as the genuine contender to the british crown. Why do people this he is "above" this tournement??

I can not see Warren letting Chunky join the fun but that would be godly.

I would love to see it but I think any respectable British champion should stay out. The rest would make it a a huge event for fans but I think the super middle guys already in can do a good job for us....Groves or Chunky would be great too though.

i know what you are saying, and deep down i probably agree. But i think where i am coming from is that i just want to see the best fight the best, and these young pretenders like groves and degale need to either be put in their place for the time being, or show that they are up to standard.
End of the day, groves beating adamu was good to get the title, but adamu was lucky, very lucky to beat dilks. Chunky beat a no power horton, but still got caught to ****, so IMO these guys have not proved anything in terms of the pro game.
I just want to see it because it makes me excited to think about what could happen, and how it would leave the british SMW hoirizon. Maybe it would mean whoever loses would want a re-match in a proper 10/12 rounder, and then maybe we would get full distance fights between top quality domestic guys.

Smith should stay out as the winner can come gunning for him. I want to see Quigley, Dodson, Groves etc in it.

yeah, i guess the opinion that the domestic champion should stay out as an incentive for the winner is a good opinion. It would make the competition more meaningful, rather than just a pay day, with no guarantee of anything to come of it afterwards.

    Make it happen Hearn, grrrrr
