Problem is lads...Bute has never hurt Grachev with his best work.

Better from Bute. That left uppercut is a good shot and it will at least give Grachev something to worry about.

Bute's going here, he's throwing punches and forcing them. Mentally this bloke is a wreck..

59-46 Denis Grachaev. People are trying to claw at ANY positives from Bute and not paying enough attention to Grachaev knocking him silly.

Bute has less ring intelligence than Khan.

Only started watching from round 5, well Froch's c.v is about to take another hit it seems, Bute just seems unable to avoid punches when they come at him in combinations. Even if he wins from here I doubt he fights Froch again, he must surely know it's only ending one way. Does anyone know if Grachev wins if he has to fight Froch?

Got to give Grachev a ton of credit, the guy is more than the sum of his parts. This would be 2 fantastic wins in a row if he can get it.

 No probs mate, you and BA are prob two people I respect most for knowledge and sanity lol though I don't always agree.

I might be biased but thought he done enough. That said he wasn't as impressive as I thought he'd be, he's been working hard on his fitness but it didn't show(weight cut?). I just know I've seen him live along with a few world level fighters and he's still the most naturally gifted fighter I've seen, seems to have lost his way a bit.

I'll look at the silver linings here:
    1) It'll be easier for him to get a fight after tonight, I'm not saying people avoided him but it was tough for him to get fights as him being relatively unknown made him a lose/lose fight for the top middleweights.

    2) Again he needs to look at his camp and what he's doing, clearly the defence needs work on, he was a top amateur and was very elusive and now gets caught with ease.......Think as Freddy adapted his style he forgot to retain the important part which is not getting hit on the way out.

I'm just disappointed, guys not had a break in a while and got another tough decision tonight, if he's going to correct it then now is the time, no more mistakes can be made.

    59-56 I meant. It's now 69-65. Grachaev controlling Bute

To be brutally honest I think McEwan has just been more trade talk due to being in Wildcard than substance in the pros. He's never been that impressive, his style is a mess and makes no sense. Theres no semblance of an identity. He's too easy to hit, he has no power at all, he needs a lot of work to make an effective pro style out of what he has, its possible, but its late in the day. He hasn't had proper foundational fights, if he got put in with Barker or Macklin he'd get battered at the moment.

I think Bute hurt Grachev then. He seems really low on confidence though. I think he's scared to commit.

Bute looking slightly more convincing atm. Only has to stay upright to win.

Even when Bute's doing well on the front foot, landing punches and keeping Grachev at range he's still just so so hittable.

Bute's definitely trying to fight his demons in there. Once he get's the confidence back, he'll be back to his normal self.

Grachev round there, seems people on here have it closer/in favour of Grachev more, as these commentators seem to think Bute's winning.
