That's being scratched now. They said earlier that a Middleweight version of Prizefighter will be the British card.

Winner by SD Michael Lomax .
I think he deserves the win. He wasn;t the impressive in the semi and was in a scrappy fight with Nigel Wright whereas Bami looked like the form man from the start of the evening. However Lomax boxed clever in the final and his southpaw jab was the key to his victory. Good win.

He kept on trying, but Lomax took care of him handily (Lomax put him down in the last round I think).

 

He was pretty shocking to be brutally honest, looked like he was punching underwater he was so slow...

 

Had €10 on Lomax at 10/3 in the final, easy money win

I cannot argue with that.

To be honest I thought the whole show was pretty awful. This format only works with heavyweights IMO, at the lesser weights the same drama simply is just not there. At least with heavyweights you know any lucky punch can change a fight at any given moment. The same doesnt apply at the lower weights.
The quicker this prizefighter bull**** is consigned to the history books the better.
Boxing needs freshened up, but prizefighter isnt the way forward.

 

it belittles professional boxing...thats what it does...
its bringing fairground booth type scenario to a professional situation...its got to be totally opposite to what the professional sport of boxing should be..

the contender series does this type of thing correctly...this prizefighter doesnt...a pro should only fight one opponent a week at most.

i'm sittin thinkin wrights got it in the bag, and if he boxes like this against bami he's won, won every round v lomax, and its not only because i had £10 on wright from the start that i'm pissed off, the lad should have been in that final.......who here bet lomax from the start to win outright???
