alright guys, i'll start with the cons.

    1) in the beginning he was wasting alot of punches with bad accuracy.

    2) he kept turning his head away to the point where the ref told khan to turn around. that's inexperience.

    3) his footwork wasn't as good as i expected. i felt at times that khan could of stepped back when paulie threw punches, and then counter, but instead khan boxed abit more flat footed. probably due to trying to stop malignaggi on his american debut.

    4) i thought with the size advantage, he could of used it more in clinches and actually push back malignaggi. he didn't.

    pro's.

    1) khan looks to be a very big 140lb fighter.

    2) great jab. he used that jab perfectly.

    3) speed showed once again why he'll beat some very good fighters.

well there you go guys. you can add some aswell. overall i didn't think it was a bad performance, it wasn't great, but not bad either.

Just basic stuff...Improved defense, used his natrual attributes(height and reach).....that is really what won him the fight....as some kept saying paulie strengths, khan can do and better...and that was a fact

The cons, malignaggi has no punch, paulie looked like he belong at 135, when he is a natural 140 fighter, that is how big khan is....

Other then that, good win for amir....

No, it was a pretty complete performance IMO. Speed, power, work-rate, footwork, combinations, jabbing, defence and SKILLS, particularly the last one. He hadn't shown those things before and it took a really good boxer to bring them out in them. It was exactly what Khan needed and exactly what we needed to see from him.

His accuracy wasn't too good, but I don't think he was wasting punches. In fact, he seemed more patient than usual, waiting for Malignaggi to make a move and only throwing one or two punches at a time. He eventually picked up the pace from round 3/4.

Yes, I noticed this as well. He's going to have to find a more effective way of dodging punches.

The footwork wasn't too good, especially the defensive footwork, which is probably why he ended up turning his head or holding when he should have been slipping away instead.

I think he did quite well in the clinches, especially compared to previous fights. He wasn't pushing back, true, but he tied Malignaggi up quite well.

    :good

I would say it was good (not great, as you said). The jab was what impressed me the most, he's really turning it into a weapon. His accuracy improved as the fight went on.

Also, he fought more intelligently than I've ever seen him fight before. He took his time in the first two rounds, found his range, didn't throw any McFlurries like he used to, went for fewer but more effective punches and put some muscle behind them.

The defence, defensive movement in particular, should still be worked on quite a lot, especially for guys like Bradley and Alexander. He wasn't going to the body as much as he could have, so he might want to continue working on body-punching as well.

    Good performance overall.

the main concern for me is khans defence his left hand was sticking miles away from his chin which is rather worrying
