I tend to agree with double chin in a way, the lighter weights eg bantemweight down could in fact be very poor and the amateurs in them divisions could be better than there pro counterparts .mainly due to the elite amatuers eg cubans aloyan, Barnes etc having very little incentive to turn pro and being well supported by their countries.
He was a relatively big guy. He used to have problems making weight. Here's an example coming in 5.75lbs heavy in the weigh in: http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/wei...g-5-75lbs-heavy-casimero-1-25lbs-heavy-339024
Amnat Ruenroeng CONFIRMS the reason why he lost is because he 'DID NOT BOX WELL', and that whenever he tried to exhange punches, he got punched himself. Scene it. This confirms that it is just a different game.
Is it that different? It's scored round by round now isn't it. The criteria doesn't seem that different any more. But I've only seen what I've seen in the Olympics so haven't looked at any detail.
True, it's not that different in the main. It's the exact same as it is in the Olympics across all amateur events.
It's different in terms of pacing strategy. I thought Lomachenko would beat Salido in his second pro fight because I didn't think Lomachenko's 'pacing strategy across 12' transition would be slow enough to be too major of a factor (but it was).
