Look at the guy in my avatar! He is now 58 years old and has not fought since he lost the rematch with Salvador Sanchez in 1980. Right now, today, I'd put my money on "Little Red" over any simple street fighter under 300 pounds. This cat use to hit people with what looked like a nothing right hand, and they didn't get back up for 2 or 3 minutes!

Boxing rules, in ring or out...I'd favour the Featherweight almost everytime, the only chance I'd give the meathead would be via lucky punch.
Street fight is a completely different story...no rules, which means if the Featherweight can't hurt the big guy with a quick flurry, etc...the Featherweight is in big trouble.

I'm 5'8/9 and weigh around 60kg. I've been hit for no reason whilst I was out drinking by a guy at least 6'2, big/obese build, and honestly...I've been hit harder in a boxing ring by 12-13 year olds. It was clear he'd never thrown a punch in his life before, although because I trained for 13-14 years to box...I hit him at least 4-5 times after that before he was able to raise his hand again, and before all my mates jumped in to stop it.

The 'meathead' has a big advantage on the street...but it depends whether they can actually throw a punch or not, and if the Featherweight can avoid being taken down...or hit with something.

Circumstances play a HUGE role in determining the outcome of the fight. So many questions have to be asked: Is the FW 100% healthy? Is the big guy fighting to save his family/life? Are weapons involved? How much space are they given to roam....etc, etc, etc.

Keep in mind a boxer is like a fish out of water when he's on the ground. Most street fights do end up on the ground. I remember reading about a fight between Floyd and 50 Cent. Floyd was supposedly tackled to the ground and wasn't able to land any significant punches. I would almost always bet on a trained fighter but wouldn't be surprised at all if I lost.

I could definitely see a big black brotha take a midget like PacGwire out in a street fight with ease.

I think everybody is writing off the meathead too easily. If he's an agressive guy like most meatheads are then I bet that the little guy gives him his lumps but eventully is koed. Double body weight is deadly. But I'd root for the fellow boxer anyday.

Meathead means in shape, and hungry for action in whatever sport he's gunning for. Or did you mean a meatball?

Also, streetfighting and boxing are two different things. Just because the boxer can apply it in the ring dosn't mean he'll be ready on the street. You have to have that mentallity to physically hurt someone. It's like an on/off switch for some people. Once they step into the ring they take on a whole other persona.:bbb

No luck against a meathead, the guy probably has had many street brawls and knows how to fight. This is the type of guy who would be training his ass off all week only to go out on weekends to bang and kick ass. With boxing rules the guy probably gets embarrased though as would most non boxers. The Shaq vs De la Hoya fight is a good example of this.
