I remember hearing about a guy who either fought or was in line to fight Prince Naseem from Blackpool who was known for knocking out doorman and the like in his hometown.

So yes, the smaller guys can and do lay out much bigger opponents.

I used to live in Albuquerque, and two of my friends told me that they watched Holly Holm cold**** a 20 year old 220 lb. bodybuilder with one punch.

You'd think so, but it really isn't like that. He'd have a fair chance in a streetfight (probably still lose), but your average big guy isn't used to taking punches, doesn't know how to slip or block them, and has NO stamina. Also, most people just don't deal well with pain.

    Another story

Dan Goosen told me once that back in the 90's a lot of guys just released from San Quienten or Soledad would not know what to do with their lives, and before Freddie Roach got into the game, 10 Goose Boxing was it in Southern Cali. They would muscle-bound MS-13's, Crips, Nazi's etc., and they'd swagger into the gym saying that they could take anyone. Goosen would try to get them to come a few times hit the bag, do footwork train, etc., but like clockwork they'd been in 20 prison fights, and just wanted to spar.

He'd put them in with Rafael or Gabriel Ruelas, feathweights, and they'd tear out of the corner, and throw bombs, Rafael, especially, who in the ring with pros was the ultimate face-first fighter was like Mayweather in the ring with a clumsy oaf. he'd move, slip and go to the body a few times, and every time, Goose said, like clockwork, after 90 seconds, the other guy was FINISHED!

The Ruelas brothers who were a little nasty would then go to work on them, and they'd be bent over tired and trying to leave the ring, but the gym guys would push them back in and make them finish a round or two....Goosen said he had to drag prison shot-callers out of the ring by their ankles.

I think the skill disparity would be too great for the larger guy to overcome and with no gloves his face would get ****ed up pretty fast. Obviously if the larger guy has a decent chin and has some wrestling experience he could get the boxer out of his depth, but skill>>>>size any day of the week.

Well I was out drinking back in the day was with this Samoan dude who was f in the head a low life. Anyway 3 dudes were walking towards us and he decided he wants to hit one of them so he had his cigarette lighter between his closed fist and said watch this he hit the lil dude in the middle for nothing. The lil guy didn't see it coming but to my surprise he took it well. Had a arghh! his head snapped back for a moment but continued to walk a bit shaken. We all told the low life. WTF! you can't punch for shiiit. So what was the point of all that. I was lucky they didn't come back whoop our asses that night. The low life is no longer my friend. IDIOT!

Point is not all big dudes can punch or fight.

a featherweight boxer like scott harrison would rehydrate to about 10 stone plus

could he ko a 16 stone non fighter.
    imo yep.

i have seen a man who i grew up with known as manchester mick an irish builder/bare knuckle fighter who loved to fight / he was about 5.6 and 10 and half stone and knocked out many 13 to 16 stone men in street altercations .
