Just read on the front page that team Sauerland had a rematch clause for Valuev-Haye and that they intend to use it.

Well, it's no surprise really. We'll get to see Haye-Ruiz next, and then (if Haye beats Ruiz) there's a good chance we'll see Valuev-Haye part II (I can't wait..). After that I'm sure the WBA will have another mandatory ready (Ruiz again?), while Chagaev and Holyfield are lurking in the background.

Now I'm not writing that it's a 100% given that we'll not get a unification bout at HW in 2010. But I've been following boxing, and especially the HW division, long enough to become a pessimist. I guess that Hayes claim to get the WBA belt first to have more weight when negociating with the Klitschkos is a bluff - he's not thinking about facing the Klitschkos anytime soon.

If they want to make a fight with one of the brothers bad enough, they can pay whomever has the right to fight Haye next the perverbial step aside money.

And it'd make more sense for Ruiz, Valuev, Chagaev or whomever, to fight the winner of a Klitschko vs Haye, rather than merely Haye, himself.

If haye gets past ruiz, he might as well just drop the belt. The WBA is a bogus belt full of corruption, who gives a **** about it.

I doubt even Valuev wants it. If he cant get a decision in Germany he wont get one in England and he proved he could not catch up with Haye to stop him.

Its just the promotors posturing to get a cut of the Klit fights or get paid step aside money, there is no danger of it happening too much money at stake.

The WBA is an expert at creating a never ending cluster**** of confusion with odd rulings and unnecessary titles. It's no surprise to me that they'll still force said cluster**** to continue until they milk it for every sanctioning fee possible.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say the WBA is ducking the Klitschkos.

Haye claimed he didn't want to sign the contracts with Vitali and Wlad because of the rematch clauses. Then he's signing a contract with Valuev that includes - a rematch clause! Very strange. Haye is not stupid, when he signed that contract with Valuev he knew damn well he could forget about a unification fight with a Klitschko for a long time. He would have to defend his WBA belt against the usual suspects (Ruiz, Chagaev, Valuev...) instead, and I think he's very comfortable with that.

The Klitschko contracts included three or four rematches and at a far lower price.

Chect your facts no it did not. it was one rematch and a fight with the other brother.. sounds an awful lot like Valuev one match with ruiz and then another against Valuev again :deal

and the price thing is crap Valuev did 8000 people the fight in Schalke was 61000.. also with how pathetic his fight against valuev was do you really thing ruiz haye is going to make more then a fight against either brother hell you think the rematch with valuev is going to sell well after that stinkfest.......

Haye would of banked in the rematch against either Klit... Haye realised that he had a very small chance against either brother and so there would never be the rematch for him to cash out on.... He even stated himself that he went for the easier fight against Valuev.

These fights are not risky and they are easy money. Clearly, haye is not the heavyweight savior.
