Mayweather was not given any "problems" by Burton.

He outboxed him on the inside, in what was a pretty entertaining bout, and took a shot or two which caused him to bleed.

Mayweather adapts to his opponents - He chose to take the fight to Burton and overwhelmed him with his handspeed and combinations.

He did encounter a few problems in his next matchup though!

Still, seems to strange to read that about him, an over eager brawler with no defense and a suspect chin?

 

Corrales was not p4p before Floyd..that is kind of crazy...Floyd was his first big name..He was top 130 contender though and was highly regarded as a menace and a dangerous opponent. The freitas fight showed me his metal and the Casamayor fight the one he lost.

As for when he fought Augustus?? there was another LW Champ making him an offer and he refused and went back down to 130. I posted video of that titlelist EXPOSING Floyd's D far better than Augustus did and that took place almost a year PRIOR:yep
