I cant wait until Dazn goes public so i can run the company into the ground with naked short sales. I will bankrupt them myself, believe me
Would be amusing if the DAZN owner with press reporting 'strong Russian ties' ended up being sanctioned and Earn's boxing ended up on Fightzone
@Trafford do you work for DAZN or Matchroom? If so tell Scammer Earn that Daveed Diamante about to announce 'the shyte stops now'
If they are delighted with the subscription figures be very easy to prove the naysayers wrong. The fact is it’s not an easy app to register for, for your everyday Joe. Couple that with limited content, that by and large is poor, and it’s quite obvious the numbers aren’t where they would like to be. I’ll admit i had it at £1.99 but cancelled when it went up. Not because I’m not happy to pay as if there were meaningful and regular fights I would gladly. But there arent
I subscribe cause I’m a boxing fan and want to see the fights without the hassle of ‘ fishing ‘ but I do agree with this. The problem is, and I’m stating the obvious here, is that they only show DAZN boxing and will only show DAZN boxing. So there’s no chance of the occasional ‘treat’ that we used to have on Boxnation or Sky, like a PBC show or some other overseas boxing. It’s Matchroom UK, the almost redundant Matchroom USA and Golden Boys rare shows. It’s very predictable, very low key and a bit humdrum I all truth.
It would need very good weekly UK fights and cards for me to fork out again. After initial browsing through the app, I was only logging in every fortnight for the UK shows and those were not great with the odd good fight. The huge problem is that people who want to watch decent fights such as Conlan v Wood are still watching without knowing anything about the existence of the DAZN UK app. It is certainly game changed as to how people are increasingly watching sport these days and a DAZN UK sub is not on the radar of 99.99% of people who watch boxing.
The issue I have is that they call it the Netflix of sport. It really isn’t. When I had covid I watched shi*e on there for a week and never ran out of crap to watch. You don’t get that with Dazn. And you end up watching it on your phone as they don’t work on most tvs
I have heard that people who live out in Australia and have a subscription to DAZN do not have access to watch Matchrooms UK Shows on DAZN. Is this correct ? I thought Matchroom's UK Shows were shown all over the world through DAZN ?
In all fairness, I actually think that Matchroom UK has occasionally arranged some good fights. It's still far from what Eddie Hearn promised in advance.
This content is protected All seven of the Kinahan crime bosses have been sanctioned in the US. Net is starting to close in and therefore don’t expect many Probellum events outside of UK and Dubai in the coming years. my guess is nobody in the UK boxing scene will ask any questions to promoters that work directly with kinahan.
